CONTACT - TURNING TARGETS INTO PROSPECTS

CDS systematically contacts all the viable targets on your list by letter and phone.  The initial contact will usually be made without revealing your identity. Our aim is to establish their willingness to sell, but may well be framed in a more positive “looking for investment opportunities” message.

This is where the involvement of CDS markedly shortens timescales.  The project manager dedicated to your account will often make half a dozen calls to each company before a meaningful conversation begins.   In house teams are rarely so persistent.

Once a company has expressed their willingness to consider a sale, with your permission we disclose your identity and begin an exchange of information under strict terms of confidentiality.   It is important to realise that this will be a genuine exchange of information.  This is essential to establish credibility and trust.

Within six to eight weeks we aim to have a minimum of three acquisition targets with whom it would be appropriate for you to meet on a face to face basis.
