MEETINGS, VALUATIONS & OFFERS - TURNING PROSPECTS INTO DEALS
CDS will set up an initial meeting between yourselves and the key shareholders of companies that have expressed a willingness to consider a sale. Whenever possible this meeting will take place at or close to the target’s premises. Successful meetings invariably in result in a walk through the target’s site; this is a great opportunity to get a feel for the company and its owners.
An indicative offer will usually follow a successful visit. This is crucial to gauge the targets price expectations before further resource is committed. The price will normally be pitched around the intrinsic value of the company, rather than what it might be worth on a strategic basis to you as the acquirer. We can help you calculate the level at which an offer should be pitched.
This stage typically takes a further six to eight weeks.
